Ononin induces cell apoptosis and reduces inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast-like synoviocytes by alleviating MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways

As a kind of chronic inflammatory diseases, Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has low cure rate and easy recurrence. It widely reported that abnormal activation mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) signaling pathways are associated with the development RA inflammation. Blocking rheumatoid fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLS) can delay RA. Ononin is natural isoflavone glycoside plays key role in modulating inflammation related pathways. However, whether exerts anti-inflammatory effects on remains unknown. In this study, we evaluated therapeutic effect by establishing tumor necrosis α (TNF-α)-induced RA-FLS cell model. Our data confirmed could alleviate TNF-α-induced MH7A cells viability, increase apoptosis, decrease production pro-inflammatory cytokines like interleukin-1β (IL-1β) interleukin 6 (IL-6), further inhibit NF-κB MAPK results suggested be potential agent for
